AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): Congress leaders will go to Delhi, to meet the Central leaders in cabinet to place demands on behalf of indigenous people.

In live talk show, Congress State President Pradyot Manikya has said so. Already trains’ tickets have been booked and former IPFT Vice President, Congress leader Ananta Debbarma is arranging the necessaries.

Congress will place demands for more power to ADC like direct funding and an independent power to ADC which will be observed by Governor, but not by State Govt.

Congress also to demand to exclude Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) from implementation in Tripura as BJP has announced to pass Citizenship Bill soon, said Pradyot Manikya expressing concern of its implementation here.

He further urged all political parties to keep peace and stop violence immediately.

“It does not matter whether CPI-M, BJP or Congress, but violence culture which is only seen in Tripura and West Bengal must be stopped. In case of Tripura, I have seen people consider politics first, which is not a healthy sign. Politics has created division among own community’s people across communities”, Pradyot Manikya said.

Referring to the ongoing flood, he said, his Congress party will offer all possible helps to the flood victims. Talking about Agartala water-logging problems, Pradyot Manikya has blamed the poor city plan and constructions of infrastructure.
