BSNL cables stolen from underground, telephone services remain paralyzed

AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): In Gokulnagar of Bishalgarh BSNL cable line has been stolen by miscreants which has left all telephone services including TSR offices closed.
Locals said, 11 times they filed complaint in Bishalgarh police station about such thefts but no action was taken to catch the thieves.
Today when same problem erupted, BSNL officials rushed to the spot and found the cables are taken away.
The officials expressed extreme disappointment with the incident. Locals said, inside the cable bronze remains and thus thieves sell them after stealing, but due to police’s negligence such incidents continues.
