KAMALPUR, Oct. 20, (TIWN) : In recent few days the tsunami of scams really making the ‘clean’ and ‘transparent’ administration of Manikbabu jolted and handicapped. But this gigantic wave is not seemed to cease down shortly. Now at Kamalpur, the Vigilance squad has rocked the PWD (R&B) by tracing huge misappropriation of funds and the illegal efforts to nourish some near and dear ones of the authority.

Last Saturday the Vigilance squad paid a sudden and unexpected visit to the Kamalpur Division of PWD(R&B) . They checked different documents and found irregularities and gobbling of funds. In the financial year 2011-2012 the part of NEC road from Saikarbari to Erarpar under this division was rennovated. Vigilance found many misappropriation in the work. Again in 2012-2013, a work (NIT-25) including Earth filling, grouting, drainage etc. costing 56,00,000 rupees was done without any notice in newspaper. The vigilance found the higher-up officials involved in it. Though the authority declined to speak in the matter, the fact is admitted by higher-up officials. Now what comes out is the matter to be watched.
