AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): Japanese Ambassador to India Kenji Hiramatsu has arrived in Tripura, addressed media here after he met Chief Minister Biplab Deb.
Tripura’s relation with Japan was boosted under incumbent MP Jitendra Chaudhury’s tenure as Industry Minister and the new Govt now has show interest to continue it so that unemployment problem stay in control.
Hiramatsu while interacting with media, said that Japan will be continuing to keep ties with Tripura for the shake of development.
He also mentioned, the connectivity of Northeast India with South Asian countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar is Japan Govt’s first priority.
Japan Govt is also interest to boost the bamboo products in Tripura.The ambassador further proposed to introduce Japanese language course in Tripura University.
Tripura however developed a good relation with Japan since JICA project had been introduced but the present Govt had terminated all the previous state-govt-employees under JICA project.
