AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): Completing one day State Committee meeting at Tripura CPI-M headquarter in Melarmath, National leader Prakash Karat has slammed the BJP Govt at Centre and in the States raising various burning issues of the country. Addressing media at Melarmath HQ, Karat stated, "Since the Modi Govt has been in power at Centre, price hike is leading mass problems across the Country. Poor farmers are not getting proper price of their crops. They are even unable to get the minimum cost of their products. Out of frustrations farmers are bound to commit suicide; recently many suicide cases have come out. LPG, Petrol, Diesel prices are increasing everyday. Value of rupees has totally been down. When they promises 2 crores job per year, unemployment toll is spiking up. Ultimately common men are the sufferers". Prakash Karat further hit the BJP ruled central govt for the increasing crimes against women citing Muzaffarnagar and Bihar instances.

Mocking further at Modi Govt's attitude of rejecting other countries aids for Kerala flood, Karat said "Many Indians are living in United Arab Emirates, but unfortunately India Govt has rejected their help when after the devastating flood only 600 crores were sanctioned by the Centre".

Karat announced that CPI-M will conduct a protest at Delhi on September 5 led by all farmers and various trade unions workers against the fascist attitude of the BJP Govt.

Talking about lynching episodes, Karat said, "It's quite surprising that even after Supreme Court's order to bring a law against mob lynching India had undergone tragic lynching episodes. Indeed, the whole climate of the country is under total danger under the Modi Govt".
