AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): BJP Govt’s immature steps are causing tremendous sufferings for State’s unemployed youths. Even though it has been said that to maintain the transparency, BJP Govt has cancelled the ongoing recruitment process as CPI-M’s recruitment process was ‘not’ transparent but ultimately sufferer are the unemployed youths who spent money, wasted energy to prepare for the tests. Few of the cancelled interviews took around for two years but due to election the appointments or last formalities were just left. But when the job aspirants were waiting for final list, new govt’s cancellation of the whole recruitment process, it has triggered huge resentments. Moreover, under New Recruitment Policy and new kinds of exams the job aspirants may face a jolt. The overage people who will get one and only chance to sit in the interview, they are the highest sufferer as in new recruitment whether they can score like before or not, it’s under doubt. At the time, police job aspirants 1451 youths who passed in the interview and were hoping for call letters; even after CM had assured, their jobs are also been terminated.
Tripura cabinet has decided to introduce new recruitment process with the recently announced New Recruitment Policy, cancelling all the ongoing recruitment. However, the decision is receiving mixed response as many candidates had already passed the whole interview and were waiting for fresh recruitment. On the other side, employed youths are happy as the interview will be according to much transparent New Recruitment Policy, which was announced by the newly charged BJP Govt on May 19.
The BJP led State Govt believes that in this way all unemployed will get a fair chance for govt job. Thus the council of Ministers have decided in cabinet meeting on Thursday, which has announced on Friday evening by Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath, “In view of the New Recruitment Policy, approved by the Govt that all new appointments should be made as per the new policy and all existing recruitment process except for Tripura Judicial service (for which specific exemption has already been granted), either conducted by TPSC or in other Depts will be cancelled”.
“The recruitments were going on since many years or a year, which were paused by the new Govt. The interviews either taken by TPSC or any respective dept has been cancelled due to the transparency. Till day we were deciding about this what to do”, the Minister said.
However, the Minister also announced that in the mean time those who have become overage, will be given one time relaxation. They will be able to sit in the exam for once.
