AGARTALA, July 21 (TIWN): Left parties will stage a protest in front of the Parliament on July 24 voicing against the mob-lynching.
CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar confirmed that Politburo member Manik Sarkar will join the agitation which will be staged before the parliament on July 24 as a part of protest against murder of ‘Democracy in Tripura and West Bengal’.
Following the mob-lynching discussions took place in the parliament, Tripura CPI-M MP Jitendra Choudhury told TIWN, the answers on mob-lynching given by BJP Minister and PM Modi were not at all satisfactory.
Bijan Dhar said, “We will try to launch massive agitations inside the state, whereas Politburo member Manik Sarkar will be present at Delhi to be a part of agitation in front of the Parliament”.
CPI-M National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury on July 8 had announced about the agitation which will be staged before the Parliament on July 24 ahead of the Parliament session’s beginning, whereas all the Left Parties as CPI, CPI-M(L), Forward Bloc like parties will also join the dais. The protest to mark a condemnation on behalf of Left Parties against Tripura’s lynching, terror and violence under Biplab Deb regime and also the lawless era of the West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee’s ruling.
Ruling BJP however has termed the planned protest of CPI-M as an “intrigue” by Left Parties to malign the image of Tripura at national level.
