Unemployment issue emerging as the most critical challenge before BJP Govt : CM demands quota for Northeast in Central Govt services, special employment opportunity in IT sector

AGARTALA, April 11 (TIWN): Even though Tripura CM has claimed to create 7 lakh jobs in 30 months but out of 30 months, but 1 month is gone and the unemployment issue is becoming most challenging job before the BJP Govt. Tripura CM has placed 23 demands during yesterday's NITI Aayog meeting and among the 23 demands one is regarding the unemployment issue. CM in the NITI Aayog meeting stressing upon the state's burning unemployment issue said, "A proactive policy for recruitment of unemployed youths from Northeast in Central Government services, autonomous bodies, public sector undertaking and central paramilitary forces is needed". Chief Minister also added in the demand, "Special employment opportunities need to be created in the IT-sector".

Recently, Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt. Ltd. (CMIE) which analyses data of Indian economy has listed once again Tripura and Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh as topper states in unemployment rate. However, Chandigarh according to March month’s analysis tops in unemployment rate with 17.3 %, whereas Himachal Pradesh 15.3 % and Tripura 15.2 %. But according to year-wide data of the labour commission, Tripura tops in unemployment rate among all states and UTs. Tripura’s new Chief Minister has however claimed the BJP Govt will be able to generate 7 lakh employed in 30 months and also various initiatives are being taken to curb the unemployment rate.

Tripura Govt is blueprinting job-opportunities to mitigate unemployment rate of the state, which is now at least 8 lakhs, indeed, highest in the whole country. Setting up of Indian Reserve (IR) Battalions of State Armed Police Force for Tripura will generate direct employment about 2200 youth, such has been claimed by Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb.

Recently  CM in a press conference said, "We discussed various issues with the Central Ministers such as Border fencing, maintenance and border roads".

"Home Minister sanctioned two Indian Reserve (IR) Battalions of State Armed Police Force for Tripura, which will generate direct employment about 2200 youth", said Biplab Deb.

On the other side, Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology project's unfolding has claimed around 5000 jobs per year.

"Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology CIPET Recruitment provides platforms for Graduates, Freshers and experienced candidates and central govt have aimed to complete the project within next 2 months in Tripura, which will be named as ‘Ma Tripura Sundari CIPET’ project. Union Minister of Chemical and Fertilizers Ananth Kumar also announced about setting up of  Plastic park. The will be also a ‘Plastic Waste Management Centre’ near CIPET", said CM.
