AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): Tripura’s unseated CPI-M is trying its best to emerge as a strong opposition party in state. Former Minister, MLA Badal Choudhury as a reaction to BJP Finance Minister’s claim about revenue generation said, “We will see what revenue BJP Govt can generate ? PM Modi before election said BJP Govt will make Rs. 15 lakh’s entry in each account after recovering black money. But his promise is pending since 4 yearsâ€. “The matter is not about illogical fighting with BJP, but Jishnu Debbarma’s speech itself explained Tripura’s poor economic condition from which the Left Govt suffered. Central Govt deprived Tripura by abolishing planning commission to implement the NITI Aayogâ€, Choudhury added. On yesterday in the Assembly, Jishnu Debbarma with such allegations raised by Badal Choudhury said, “What you know about economy ? Since 25 years you just killed the economyâ€. On that time also, Choudhury said, “We also will see how much of revenues BJP Govt can generateâ€.
On Monday, a heavy verbal clash erupted among the both party leaders after Badal Choudhury was mentioning about 7th pay commission. Choudhury claimed that CPI-M Govt also demanded 7th pay commission from the centre, but the budget was ‘insufficient’. In reply, Sudip Barman attacking sharp said, “I knew Badal Choudhury is a Heart patient, but never knew, he is also a Mental Patient” ! According to you, DA means 7th Pay Commission and till day there was no attempt of 7th pay commission and today your are claiming for demanding 7 pay commission !”
Badal Choudhury said, “Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarma himself accepted the fund-debacle with central govt. Under planning commission, our govt could place the demands earlier, but today due to the planning commission’s abolition, funding for Tripura has become tough. Now BJP itself has accepted the fact by Tripura Govt press release”.
