AGARTALA, March 22 (TIWN): From washrooms to each room of GB Hospital today turned neat and clean before Tripura's new Chief Minister Biplab Deb and Health Minister Sudip Barman's visit at there.There was no patient lying on the floor, neither any lack of anything was observed today. Chief Minister Biplab Deb and Health Minister Sudip Barman also have talked to the GB hospital admitted patients in details, listened their experiences in this hospital. Observing the nicely-decorated condition of GB hospital, Sudip Barman mockingly said, "Earlier whenever I visited here, saw many patients are lying on the floor but there is nobody today and everything is so nicely arranged. If in this manner things develop there will be hardly any problem". The Chief Minister talked to the patients directly asked whether they are being treated well in the hospital or not. The two Ministers also met the hostel students of AGMC who had agitated in the morning by blocking road. They agitated against the increasing security threats, lack of CCTV cameras inside hostel and drinking water crisis.
Recently, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb sought AIIMS like institution for Tripura from Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a meeting in Delhi.
After CM's meeting with PM, it was said via a govt press release, “CM has demanded setting up of the AIIMS like institution for creation of world class facility and super specialties and health specialties in Tripura, which may prove to be of immense help to all people of Tripura and for the neighboring states of Tripura”.
Recently Sudip Barman has announced, soon ambulances will serve immediately after the patient party calls at 102. The Minister also announced that any kind of complaint related to health service, public can now register by calling 104.
