AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): "For the tribal boys and girls, total 24 Eklavya Model Residential Schools will be sanctioned in next 3 years", announced Chief Minister Biplab Deb today at Secretariat.
After returning from Delhi, Chief Minister Biplab Deb and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma, the Chief Minister has announced it.
"Union Minister for tribal affairs assured sanction of 24 number of Eklvya schools in Tripura in next 3 years @Rs. 384 crore for construction of schools and hostels in addition to the recurring of Rs. 50 crore per year", CM announced.
Eklavya Model Residential School. Ekalavya Model Residential School (EMRS) is a Government of India scheme for model residential school for Indian tribals (Scheduled Tribes, ST) across India. It was established by the Tribal Ministry, Government of India.
