Tripura's poor Geo-tagging status in MGN | AGARTALA, May 4 (TIWN): Another review to be held by Central Govt to take a look on MGNREGA Geo-tagging status on May-12 to inspect the actual progress done on the ground. In this regard, in advance Tripura Industry Minister Tapan Chakraborty said in a programme held at Bodhjungnagar, NIELIT inauguration that the village level E-Governance should not be burdened solely on the state govt as due to slow internet and lack of fibre connection across villages it's becoming quite impossible to come over the problems. However, in a letter to the Principal Secretary Director of MGNREGA Raghvendra Pratap Singh wrote, "As you are aware, the Ministry of Rural Development has rolled out GeoMGNREGA - the GIS implementation of Mahatma Gandhi NREGA in public domain on 30th November 2016. The initiative has laid emphasis on transparency and accountancy in the system.....It is desired that all works completed under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA should be geotagged in a time bound manner"."States/UTs should ensure that whatever work is completed w.e.f. 01/04/2017 must be geotagged within one month from date of completion of work. CPI-M adopts INPT model to win Tribal V | AGARTALA, May 4 (TIWN): Ahead of Assembly Election-2018 Tripura CPI-M is now eying for tribal vote banks by adopting INPT model demanding 'more power to ADC'. ADC CMD Radhacharan Debbarma, MP Jiten Chowdhury raised the issue to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at New Delhi. However, whereas the Modi government is considering demands to provide more autonomy to 16 autonomous district councils (ADCs) in Northeast India, CPI-M leaders are politicizing the issue with attempts to create racial tension in state. However, since 24 years ADC was the functioning as the goldmine for CPI-M to loot the Central fund, leaving the ADCs undeveloped without even water, power facility to those areas. But as the election is coming closure, the sudden emerging tribal sympathy in CPI-M has raised further doubt about the actual plan of CPI-M. Santa Saha murder case : Renowned lawyer | AGARTALA, May 4 (TIWN): After 2 years of the sensational murder case of 50 years old Santa Saha in her own residence on August 17-2015, accused renowned lawyer Simita Chakraborty's (30) bail plea was rejected on Thursday. Earlier, both the prime accused husband Dipak Saha and lawyer Simita Chakraborty were released on bail from Tripura HC after police failed to put up relevant evidence against the accused in 2016. However, after that the case was handed over to CID. Earlier, CID claimed that 50 years old Santa Saha was killed brutally by her Sons only because she was opposing her elder son’s Dipanjoy saha illicit relationship with his own relative despite of being married to some other women. Santa Saha’s elder son Dipanjoy saha is mainly accused for his deep involvement in the murder of his mother. Tripura State Bank loot : CCTV camera fo | DHARMANAGAR, May 3 (TIWN): Police have recovered the CCTV footage showing 2 miscreants' movement inside a bank in Northern Tripura at Dharmanagar which was looted on Tuesday. 2 persons have been seen inside the bank in that footage, whereas one of them was covering his face with full face cover mask. However, the persons are yet to identify and reportedly police is investigating the case. The bank looting incident was reported from Dharmanagar Bagbasa on Tuesday. Reportedly, on Monday night when heavy storm came, some miscreants entered the bank and also tried to burnt machines including CCTV cameras. This committee will be fully non-political and aimed to fight for their rights, where members from various Districts will be appointed. However, their meeting on Tuesday began without any banner to mean it fully non-political movement, whereas after the committee formed they will make banner surely. After the national anthem amidst tears on 10,323 teachers' eyes, the President of the programme announced, 'Our Committee name will be 10,323 discontinued teachers committee' and no political interference will be here'. However, the teachers' alleged that their former committee President Bimal Saha has played an intrigue which hurt their unity and spread rumour. A source said that the 10,323 teachers committee is fully non-political committee and their target is to fight for their rights, but a certain ideological believers specially party backed teachers are clashing with each other and failed to equalize their points. In the meeting held at Matangini Pritilata Hall, with teachers who lost their jobs in a verdict at Supreme Court mentioned that whereas this meeting was pre-decided but one member named Bimal Saha published an notification in a daily newspaper that the meeting has been cancelled, due to which a less number of participants were followed there.
