AGARTALA, Oct 25 (TIWN): Expressing worries about the increasing accidents in state, SP West Abhijit Saptashi in a press meet told media that police to increase more vigilance on state’s roads.

During nighttime vigilance remains tightly at Agartala, but the it will be further strengthen, said SP.

Describing the vigilance SP West said, “Atleast 55 persons were arrested during Durga Puja for violating of Traffic laws and occurring accidents”.

Following the murder of Tripura Police Personnel Pabitra Mohon Roy, by 2 intoxicated youths at Agartala due to their reckless driving, SP West held a press meet at West Police Station, Agartala on Tuesday.

However, the increasing accidents are killing thousands in state throughout the whole year.

In such condition the police personnel who was dragged for 15 meters by the intoxicated bikers named Nayan Sarkar & Arindam Das has created more panic among the Police Officials of Tripura.
