Journalist’s camera attempted to be snatched by Official during AMC’s eviction drive on Footpath stalls ; claimed ‘Journalist must get permission before recording anything’

AGARTALA, July 11 (TIWN): A journalist’s camera was attempted to be snatched by an official during Agartala Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) eviction drive.
The official has been identified as Santanu Bikash Das, who was leading the eviction drive.
After he attacked the media person, he claimed that as per law a journalist should get permission while recording an event (There is no such law in India).
Recently, Tripura Minister Ratan Lal Nath claimed, a journalist should not show any problem of the society but s/he should talk to the local public representative first before reporting.
