AGARTALA, June 2 (TIWN): After E-Rickshaw drivers on Monday asked some youths not to consume drugs and other alcoholic items in the Old Motorstand area and asked them to shift from this area to consume drugs, the youths with angst beaten up two E-rickshaw drivers. Later E-rickshaw drivers’ organization filed a case at PS.

Today, an E-rickshaw driver was allegedly again beaten up and threw a beer bottle at the center of the pre-incident, injuring him critically. The leaders of the workers' organization informed the incident to Agartala East police station and demanded proper investigation.

This incident caused tension among the rickshaw pullers.

Out of the two drivers, one was severely injured. The injured E- Rickshaw driver alleged that drug selling center was installed in the old Motostand area and behind the drugs trade there is a high link working behind.
