AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN): With heavy resentment the Contractors who worked under TSECL Department by taking loan from banks gheraoed TSECL department today.

Talking with the victim contractors it is known several times earlier the contractors requested the Director of the TSECL Department to clear their pending bills but the department took no steps. Noticing the avoidance of the Department again the contractors gheraoed the TSECL Department today.

It is known that over 2000 petty contractors and around 200 big contractors are deprived of getting their bills. The contractors raised allegations against Managing Director Murhari S. Kele that he brings contractors from out state’s for his own profit and gives work without tender and proper documents.

Several contractors took out loans from the banks by giving home mortgages.

The contractors stated that the gheraoed will not be withdrawn until their bills are paid. Huge tension erupted centering the gherao, and later police rushed to control the situation.
