Agartala, 25 Aug (TIWN) The 82 nd joint-boundary conference between India and Bangladesh concluded at Agartala on last Saturday afternoon. The conference ended with the decision of starting survey work along the 856 km international border by next November.
Initially, the survey will not cover the entire area, of course, but selected part of the state-border. The joint visit in November will focus mainly on reconstruction of border pillars, identification of missing pillars and construction of new ones. The high-officials team that represented Bangladesh are very delighted with the prospect of the meeting and are hopeful that the decisions that have been taken in the meeting can all be fulfilled.
