AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): BJP MLA Ratan Chakraborty will take oath today as the pro-tem speaker at 10.30 AM.

Governor Tathagata Roy will administer the oath to the speaker at Raj Bhawan.

Chakraborty would administer the oath to the newly-elected members of the assembly on March 15 and 16.

Ratan Chakraborty MLA of Khayerpur constituency, has won the election by defeating the sitting CPI-M candidate Pabitra Kar.

On March 23, Assembly  session will also be started.  This will be the 1st Assembly Session in Tripura after BJP had formed its maiden Govt here.
