UDAIPUR / AGARTALA, March 11 (TIWN): Tripura's newly appointed Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said on Sunday, the tourism will be one of the keys for the state's development.
"Centering tourism, not only Tripura's recognition will be increased at outside but with more numbers of tourists arriving here, people's earning will also be increased. Many people also can chose their livelihood based on tourism industries", he said.
"Indeed Tripura has enormous potentialities, but under the 25 years of Left Govt tourism industries have almost died", said Roy.
Pranajit Singha Roy was visiting his R K Pur area's voters in Udaipur to note down their problems.
The Minister also mentioned, Tripura Sundari temple in Matabari has remained as the centre of visitors' focus including the Central Ministers. "Special care will also be put on this temple", Pranajit Singha Roy told media.
Noteworthy, many Central Ministers including Suresh Prabhu suggested the Tripura Govt during CPI-M era to boost tourism industries. Prabhu also praised the greenery of Tripura during Tripura Sundari Express's inauguration.
