AGARTALA, March 7 (TIWN): Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy has become fed-up of telephones chasing him whether there are violence, murders, mayhem ongoing in Tripura.

"From the telephone calls I receive, it appears that a concerted and motivated campaign is afoot to spread a canard that murder and mayhem have broken out in Tripura. Nonsense! Even the uprooting of the statue has not precipitated any breach of peace", Tathagata Roy tweeted.

Across national media channels it has been reporting since the counting session that Tripura is undergoing violence and people are being killed, murdered. Tathagata Roy today in clarification said, "Romours are nonsense".
