Mumbai, Feb 28 (TIWN) Axis Bank on Thursday announced the appointment of Puneet Sharma as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from March 6.

His appointment will be effective March 6, the lender said in a regulatory filing. Sharma replaces Jairam Sridharan, who has resigned as Axis Bank CFO, with effect from the close of business hours on March 5, it said.

Prior to joining Axis Bank, Sharma spent 12 years at Tata Capital Ltd. as a senior management functionary. He was the group CFO since 2014, accountable for financial control, financial planning and accounting, and taxation among other deliverables, the statement said.
