6.1-magnitude quake hits New Zealand

Hong Kong, Feb 14 : An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted Kermadec Islands in New Zealand at 09:18:07 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
Earlier today, an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 struck 135 km south-southeast in Afghanistan's Fayzabad at 6.47 am on Monday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). Last month, on January 22, an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 took place in the southeast of Fayzabad, Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, more than 34,000 people have been killed while many are still trapped under the rubble after a massive earthquake of magnitude 7.8 jolted Turkey and Syria on February 6. According to officials, the quake that hit Syria and Turkey was one of the deadliest earthquakes in history that toppled thousands of buildings and left trails of destruction behind.
