AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): Based on secret information Police were in ambush and detained 215 kg dry cannabis from a 12 wheeler lorry while smuggling to Bihar on Thursday.

The 12 wheeler lorry carrying 215 dry cannabis was detained in front of Bishramganj PS.

The seized dry cannabis price estimated would be Rs PB13U9843. The dried cannabis was being smuggled to Bihar, said Bishramganj Police Station OC Vidya Debabarma.

The detained 12 wheeler lorry driver has been identified as Khush Nur Alam(27), residents of Bihar. Police took case against the driver under NDPS act and the driver will be produced before court.
