Los Angeles, Sep 25 (TIWN) The US' major power utility Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) has been charged with multiple crimes, including manslaughter, over last year's Zogg Fire that killed four people, prosecutors said.
The Shasta County District Attorney's Office filed a total of 31 criminal charges, including 11 felonies, against the company, Shasta County District Attorney Stephanie Bridgett told reporters on Friday. The Attorney said that her office has determined that the PG&E was "criminally liable" for the fatal wildfire in July 2020 and the company "had a duty" to remove the trees.
