Beijing, Oct 16 (TIWN) The trade deal between China and the US will not only benefit the two countries but also the global economy, China's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang said on Tuesday.

"The deal will be greatly significant. It is beneficial to China, the United States and the world, as well as the global economy, trade and peace," Geng said.  Shuang said that China and the US hold the same position on reaching an economic and trade deal.
