India Govt released data on 'Jobs creation through NSIC for SC/ST'

New Delhi, July 1 (PIB): National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub(NSSH) has been launched with the objective to provide professional support to SC/ST entrepreneurs to fulfill the obligations under the Public Procurement Policy for Micro and Small Enterprises, adopt applicable business practices and leverage the Stand up India initiative with an objective to promote “enterprise culture” amongst the SC/ST Population.

The number of SC/ST entrepreneurs who have availed benefits under NSSH for capacity building programmes, market linkage programmes viz., participation in domestic and foreign exhibitions, subsidy for registration under Single Point Registration Scheme, subsidy for enrolment on B2B portal and subsidy for rating of unit under Performance and Credit Rating during last three years are as under:

                               *NSSH was launched in October 2016.
 
Under Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS) of National SC-ST Hub, marketing support is provided to SC/ST MSMEs for enhancement of competitiveness and marketability of their products by way of facilitating their participation in domestic and international exhibitions/trade fairs, vendors development programme, awareness campaigns, etc. 15,792 SC/ST entrepreneurs have been assisted under SMAS till 31.03.2019.
This information was given by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today.

New Delhi, July 01,  2019:  The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) vide order ref” IRDAINL/NL/NTFN/MOTP/91/06/2018 dated 04.06.2019 has changed the Motor Third Party premium rates for private cars and two-wheelers as compared to previous financial year (FY). The details of change in Motor third party premium rates are as under:

As per the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, dated 20th July,2018, IRDAI directed all General insurers (barring the stand-alone health insurers and the specialized insurers) to issue mandatory Long-Term Motor Third Party insurance covers for new cars and new two wheelers (3-year for new cars and 5-year for new two-wheelers) with effect from 1st September, 2018 along with the premium rates to be charged for these policies for the FY 2018-19 vide its circular ref “IRDAI/NL/CIR/MOT/137/08/2018” dated 28th August 2018.
In respect of new cars and new two-wheelers, there is no change in the aforesaid long-term Motor TP premium rates in the FY 2019-20 as compared to FY 2018-19.
           
This was stated by Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
