8 killed as passenger bus overturns in Pakistan

Islamabad, April 19 (IANS) At least eight people were killed and 44 others injured when a passenger bus overturned in Pakistan's Sindh province on Friday.
The bus overturned due to over-speeding in the Morjhar area of Badin, a district in Sindh province. It was heading towards Karachi from lslamkot town when the fatal accident took place, Xinhua news agency reported.
The police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted bodies and the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital, where condition of 10 persons was said to be critical.
Earlier this week, at least 14 people including women and children were killed in a collision between a passenger van and a truck in Balochistan.
