AGARTALA, Jan 20 (TIWN): Bengali Kokborok writer Snehamoy Roy Chowdhury has been awarded on Tripura's 40th Kokborok Day by the Tribal Research Institute.
The 2nd official language of Tripura State has had a dedicated contribution to the development of Kokborok Literature during the last decade, despite belonging to other community (Bengali).
Chowdhury's contribution to other community's literature development has considered by Govt of Tripura as symbolic expression of Unity in Diversity of the Country. On 19 January, 2018 on the occasion of celebration of 40th KOKBOROK DAY Snehamoy Roy Chowdhury has been honoured with a special Award by the Tribal Research Institute , Government of Tripura in Agartala.
"We are very proud of him and our sincere greetings to him", in a statement the Tribal Research Institute said.
