AGARTALA, Jan 16 (TIWN): Free Ganja productions of Tripura, dominated across Sonamura, Bishalgarh and border areas as Boxonagar under Sahid Chowdhury's leadership and even at Dhanpur under Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's constituency are leading serious problems not only in Tripura but it has also been identified as a national problem as smuggled Ganjas from Tripura are targeting country's youths in various states. Union Minister for Social-Welfare Vijay Sampla in his first ever Tripura visit has raised the issue and media also asked his stand on Tripura's ganja plantation which is smuggled even in his state. After terrorism, it's narcotic that is affecting our society and wasting country's youth power".

The Central Minister also expressed worries for Tripura's increasing cannabis business. Adding to that Vijay Sampla also said that Central Govt has started rehabilitation project for the state in this regard, so that the narcotic victims after recovery do not go back to their earlier lives.

The Union Minister  also exposed Tripura Social Welfare Dept's scams which has not sent utilization certificates to centre since 2016.Talking on that issue, the Minister said, Central govt is unable to release more funds for Tripura's Social Welfare Development as no Utilization Certificate the state had received.

"It's the duty of the state govt to send the Utilization Certificates (UC). Also raising the demands on behalf of state is state govt's duty. No incident can be cited when Tripura Govt asked for funds but centre didn't release the fund", added Sampla.

After Terrorism, Addiction to drugs is the biggest problem but for Nesha-Mukti Abhiyaan also Tripura Govt is cold and sending no utilization certificates and NGOs work details.
