DHARMANAGAR, Jan 15 (TIWN): Pratima Malakar, whose clothless body was recovered from one and half KM away from her house in a pond, had shaken the state on Makar Sankranti morning. When it was assumed by whole state that she was gang raped and murdered, but talking to TIWN SDPO Jyotisman Das today said, "This was not at all a murder case, but rather she was mentally imbalanced. Her husband also was facing troubles due to her health and on 14th January early morning, she ran from home and died by drowning. It was not a murder". "As it was not a murder, so questions do not arise for any arrest. The PM report also said that", added SDPO. The PM report has become just opposite to the allegation. If it's expected that she was mentally imbalanced but how she went 1 and half KM away and drowned and recovered in clothless condition. The answers have however drowned with her body forever.
Yesterday Pritama Malakar's deadbody was recovered from Patyekroy area of Dhamanagar. Her body was found in a pond, far from 1 and half KM away from her house.
Her husband Dhirendra Malakar said that at around 3.30 AM she went outside for natural works. But after certain times, he understood that she had not returned.
Then a constant search for Pritama had begun across the village but nowhere she was found. At last in the morning her body was found clothless. Her family members have broken down in tears, cries after the incident.
Her body was them sent for post mortem, but today the PM report ended the case saying, 'Pratima was mentally imbalanced and died by drowning'.
