Agartala lacks CCTV cameras : Police facing hurdles in investigation

AGARTALA, Jan 12 (TIWN): Once again the necessity of enough numbers of CCTV cameras in Tripura has become urgent when after a brutal killing of a 45 years man in Taliban style on the heart of the capital city.

If Home Minister Manik Sarkar could arrange enough number of CCTV cameras at Agartala then today Gautam Sarkar's murder  puzzle could be broken in much easier way, but due to lack of CCTV footages, Police left clueless.

Following the murder of Gautam Sarkar East Police led by SP West said that nobody has been arrested in the murder case but the investigation is in progress.

His body was found lying in a drain with head injuries at Chittaranjan Road, Opposite to the Amway Office under East Agartala PS.

The dead body was identified as Goutam Sarkar (45) S/O Lt. Kanailal Sarkar of Dhaleswar, Road No. 3 under East Agartala PS by his relative Sanjoy Banik.

Police recovered the dead body and sent to the GBP Hospital for PM examination. In this connection a murder case has been registered against unknown miscreant at East Agartala PS on the complaint of Sanjoy Banik, S/O- Shri Satish Ch. Banik of Dhaleswar, Road No.3. Investigation is in progress.
