AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): Future of BJP's alliance with IPFT on the 'surface' hovers with confusion as IPFT President NC Debbarma today told media that IPFT will not align with any party except Tipraland demand is fulfilled. Even though BJP President Biplab Deb said that No Tipraland issue was discussed among IPFT and Central led BJP Govt, but NC Debbarma clearly said that without Tipraland demand IPFT will never align with BJP for Assembly Election-2018. Even though BJP tried a lot to make media to believe that PM Modi or Rajnath Singh held "No" talk with IPFT regarding Tipraland, but N C Debbarma said, "The sign of the discussion was "Ofcourse" positive and that's why we talked on alliance". Being asked about Rajnath Singh's tweet on socio-cultural-economic development for tribals, N C Debbarma said, "It's ofcourse a positive sign and it will develop Tripura, but following our Central Committee meeting, we have decided that without Tipraland no compromise will IPFT do".

However, there two separate views on IPFT's alliance with BJP  : one is from BJP which says "We have not talked on Tipraland" and another is from IPFT, who are saying, "We need Tipraland". Amidst all these, even though N C Debbarma said that without Tipraland, we will not align with BJP but only time will say how far the debates continue as Assembly Election is knocking door.

After PM Modi had met IPFT on January 6 in BJP Press conference Biplab Deb clearly said, “If NC Debbarma has said that Central Govt supported Tipraland, it’s fake. With Rajnath Singh and PM Modi there was no talk about Tipraland at. It was totally based on socio-economic development". "From Brinda Karat to CPI-M leaders are trying to paint the issue in totally wrong way. Tribals of Tripura didn’t participate in Independence movement of India and thus PM Modi’s meeting with them was just an attempt to bring them in the mainstream. There was no discussion about Tipraland but just a discussion on socio, economic, cultural issues”, said Subal Bhowmik, a BJP leader of state Tripura. Since yesterday after the photos of PM Modi's meeting with regional parties were exposed, the issue was raised. However, Subal Bhowmik further said, “CPI-M has only used the tribal sentiment but never tried for their developments. The word terrorism was introduced in Tripura by CPI-M since 1993".

Question was also raised about the CMP committee and the purpose of it. Subal Bhowmik said that there is no link on Tipraland but just to hold talks on socio, cultural developments the committee was formed.

But in today's press meet N C Debbarma said that without Tipraland demand they will not go for alliance at any-cost.
