SONAMURA, Jan 7 (TIWN): CPI-M National leader Brinda Karat while addressing at Sonamura said that BJP’s National President Amit Shah is lying since he has come in Tripura today.

“He is saying that Tripura is undergoing pathetic situations, but it’s not true. Tripura is a unique example for peace. It’s a symbol of brotherhood”, said Karat.

Karat was addressing at Sonamura in a women led CPI-M’s gathering and claimed that only CPI-M party is women friendly.

However, Brinda Karat didn't mention that Tripura's crime against women's rate is 86 %. 

“We understood long back that CPI-M is the only party which works for women’s welfare”.

Targeting BJP’s alliance with IPFT, Karat said, “IPFT in one hand  is liked with terrorism and on the other side it has now linked with BJP”.
