AGARTALA, August 23 (TIWN): Days are not far when TCS Officers’ Association will seek affiliation from TGEA, HGB like other employees’ organization unless things changed immediately.
Sources claimed transfer of TCS Officers’ Association’s Secretary RK Noatia to Belonia is nothing but a beginning of a HGB raj in the Association which has a long tradition as apolitical organization.
Satadhindu Chowdhury, Association’s president who is supposed to oppose the transfer of his comrade, mysteriously remains silent on various issues relating to the TCS officers.
RC poddar, a retired TCS officer who is on reemployment in Tripura Medical College (TMC) as Chief Executive officer with a monthly remuneration of Rs. 50,000 and TGEA leaders have been indirectly ‘controlling ‘ TCS officers’ Association sparking widespread resentment among civil service offices.
RP Dutta, who has a wonderful journey in his service career so far-from Kanongo to Addl Secretary, has been very cooperative with the leaders in controlling transfer, posting and promotion of state civil service officers.
Take the example of Manoranjan Das, who has been discharging (sleeping) as the Addl DM, west Tripura district. Sources claimed, even District Magistrate Abhishek Singh was unhappy over the performance of the Addl DM but no action could follow due to his ‘strong’ political connections. Mr. Das though he is sick will remain in place until the trio takes initiative to remove him.
“We are really worried the way TCS Officers’ Association has been failing to remain a political organization. It will be disastrous for state civil service officers, if remedial measures are not taken at the earliest”, said a senior TCS officer.
He added,” our Secretary RK Noatia has been transferred to Belonia without consultation with Association’s senior leaders.
