AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): Reacting over CPI-M leader Gautam Das's allegation against BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar for giving shelters to the killers of Santanu murder named Ramendra Debbarma (Ramendu), Pushrai Debbarma (Soumendu), BJP spokesperson Arun Bhumiksaid, "Gautam Das's allegation against BJP not only baseless but it also proves that the CPI-M leader has no basic knowledge about rules and regulations". "The first point coming out after Gautam Das's allegation is how is it possible a person is joining a party and police is claiming that he is in hide. How can Police's network is so weak ? "

"It proves that Santanu's father Sadhan Bhowmik who has appealed in High Court demanding CBI probe in Santanu murder case is 100 % reasonable demand with police's failure in nabbing the accused in Santanu murder case. Secondly, how can BJP know against whom police filed chargesheet ?Moreover, if police have filed chargesheet, they are just accused, but not yet convicted. Doesn't CPI-M has accused or criminals in their party ? If later it's proven that both of the former IPFT supporters are criminals, then only it will be seen and Gautam Das's demand of  BJP should handover the youths to police just laughter-provoking talks", added Arun Bhaumik. 

On January 3, BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar had welcomed tribal supporters of the state at Krishnanagar party office. All the activists were from IPFT named : 1) Ramanada Debbarma (Yuva IPFT Ass Secretary), 2)Pushrai Debbarma (Yuva IPFT Division V P), 3)Sunil Tripura (Yuva IPFT Langtarai Valley Division G S) 4) Subash Reang, 5) Debanand Debbarma (Khowai IPFT Ass Secretary).Among them Gautam Das mentioned  first two former IPFT members as Santanu murder case accused.

After CPI-M leader Gautam Das claimed that on 16th December against 6 IPFT supporters police filed chargesheet and among them the two have joined in BJP named Ramendra Debbarma (Ramendu), Pushrai Debbarma (Soumendu), who were in hide till day few questions are raising, which indicates clearly about paralyzed, helpless condition of Tripura Police under the pressure of CPI-M Govt here.

1)     Why Police is sharing their Chargesheet with Melarmath’s red-party cadres ?

2)     Second question is, how is it possible that after chargesheet was submitted, the IPFT youths left released ?

3)     Doesn’t it clearly prove that SIT has failed to investigate properly and arrest the culprits ?

4)     The murder was held on September month but the chargesheet is filing so late in December. Then for what Home Minister Manik Sarkar is waiting and not handing over the case to CBI ?

5)     Most important question is, the IPFT youths' joins have not stressed N C Debbarma also much, that much Gautam Das is stressed now. Gautam Das’s gesture itself probes his party’s nexus with the journalists’ murder incidents where police have not arrested a single GMP leader in Mandai's Santanu Bhaumik murder case.

Gautam Das said, “It’s a very dangerous politics BJP is playing. We demand that Sunil Deodhar should hand over the youths to police as they had surrendered to him”.

BJP spokesperson, Arun Bhaumik said in reply, "Actually, CPI-M has no proper allegation against BJP and that's why at any point they are targeting the party with baseless issues".
