AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): Tripura's various Dept's State Govt employees including SSA, NHM, MGREGA, TET Qualified teachers, Health's casual employees have formed a forum to fight against the long deprivation of 2 decades under the Manik Sarkar’s Communist Govt, which have been alleged by the forum in united voice. Tripura under the CPI-M Govt is far away from the 7th pay commission and even the TET Qualified teachers have been kept in fixed basis for long 5 years, which has been strongly criticized by the forum today. While addressing the media, the employees said, "We, the employees of Health, SSA, MGNREGA, NHM, TET-Teachers are deprived of the deserved wages, regularization since the beginning. The State Govt is intentionally treating us inhumanly with its fascist, autocratic behaviour. At the same time, an unannounced economic blockade has been created by the govt". The joint forum was created on 31st December, 2017 named Tripura's Fixed Pay and Contractual Employees Association (A joint forum), comprises of 5 presidium and 5 joint convener.

The forum raised certain allegations as :

1. Even after being qualified in TET Examinations teachers are kept in fixed basis, which is the unique instance across India,

2. NHM, SSA, MGNREGA even after working since decades have not yet regularized,

3.  At the same time, Health Dept casual employees are working since 2 decades but the state govt has no intension to regularize them. Only with honorarium, they are forcing to work hard.

Noteworthy, the newly appointed TET Qualified teachers on December 16 came in massive protest demanding regular-pay scales. The teachers also led a mass deputation the Elementary Education and Secondary Education Director.

SSA teachers completed a 7 day long hunger strike from August 1 to August 8 and held various protests. MGNREGA, Health, NHM all staffs are fighting to be regularized since years. Recently it was known that after 31st March, 2018, the SSA Teachers may lose their jobs, due to the inactive state of the Tripura Govt.
