A new Beginning with Ma Tripura Sundari's Blessing on New Year's Day 2018 : Rush of devotees since morning at Matabari

UDAIPUR, Jan 1 (TIWN): On the occasion of New Year, people of Tripura like every year have started the 1st day of 2018 with full devotion by offering prayers to Mata Tripura Sundari. Since the morning rush of devotees were witnessed at Matabari. Devotees amidst cold weather, came to Matabari at 5 AM, took holy baths and offered prayers to Devi Tripura Sundari, who is believed as the ultimate source of power and since decades is saving the state from all evil eyes. Tripura is however widely known outside the state, for this particular temple. People believe that Goddess here is very powerful and has spread her blessing all over the nation. The ‘darshan’ place was ever-crowded during the whole day. People came and had “darshan” of Mata Tripureswari and lighted candles inside the temple. It's believed by Tripura's people that without Devi Tripura Sundari's blessing, no good work can be started and hence to start a New Year without her blessing is just impossible to think.

Matabari premise is now in full  festive temperament with them illumination of lighting, long line of devotees, crowd at food stalls, "peda" sweet shops, hotels making delicious food items for devotees. 

Tripura Sundari Temple is situated in the ancient Udaipur, about 55 km from capital city Agartala, considered as the holiest place in the state & from every corners devotees rush to Matabari before they begin a new journey of life.

Either marriage or joining a job, there is no alternative of taking blessing from Ma Tripura Sundari for Tripura people. There would be hardly any visitor from Central Ministers to NRI that does not visit Tripura Sundari temple when they come in Tripura.

Talking to a priest at Matabari, he told TIWN, "Thousands of pilgrims thronged to our 500 years old ancient Matabari and since 5 AM devotees were observed in queues to offer ‘bhogs’ to Ma Tripura Sundari. Thousands of devotees took holy bath in Kalyan Sagar, the lake of Matabari".

High security has been deployed on this occasion since morning.
