AGARTALA, Dec 29 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar Govt’s pre-election soap opera fails to charm masses as 8 Lakhs unemployed youths remain deprived. So ahead of Election, Tripura Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha on Friday after the cabinet meeting was ended, has delivered some more good news saying total 60 employees will be regularized who are working since 2003 under AMC and some other Municipal Councils as Sonamura, Kamalpur, Khowai and Industry Dept. However, Tripura Govt's election offers have led some senior workers to be regularized at the age of 57, 58 also. But they will not get any pension benefit from the regularization. Total 54 persons were regularized from Urban Development Dept of Municipality and 6 from Industry Dept. 16 more supervisors have been extended for 1 year more, who are in retirement even though they are under Supreme Court's promotion case.
Bisweswar Nandi, coach of Dipa Karmakar has been extended to his service for one year more and Dinesh Debnath of ICA Dept also has received extension for 1 year more", said Bhanu Lal Saha to media.
Addressing the media after cabinet meeting, Saha said, "We have decided to fill up 9 forest rangers' posts. Earlier, 16 vacancies were announced and among those vacant posts few we got but the rest of the posts will be filled up".
"The second point is that some employees were working under Agartala Municipal Council, Sonamura Municipal Council, Kamalpur Municipal Council, Khowai Municipal Council as casual workers, DRW. They were recruited in 31-3-2003. State Govt has decided to regularize them. Total 54 will be regularzied but some age and qualification's relaxation must be given", said Saha.
"Apart from that 6 empployees of Industry Dept to be regularized, whose age has become already 57. They will not get any pension benefit as from now the pension will be prospective and last 10 yrs of service will be counted so that minimum pension they can get", said Saha.
