AGARTALA, Dec 28 (TIWN): TIWN was first to publish about the Guwahati meeting outcomes among BJP and IPFT on yesterday evening. As per TIWN report, it has been decided that IPFT will align with BJP till the election and around 10 seats they are getting as INPT, INC are also on the row of Election to align with the BJP. However, officially BJP has not declared anything yet. On the other side, BJP State President Biplab Deb didn't attend the meeting at Guwahati and Himanta Biswa Sarma has arrived today and sat in meeting with Biplab Deb at State Guest House assisted by Sudip Barman and some other leaders.

However, when media asked, Himanta smartly answered, "Tiparaland is a Govt Chapter, we are aimed to Election" (Woh toh Sarkari-Baatei hai, Ham to Political Hai, so hamto Political baatey hi karega na). Himanta Biswa Sarma's answer however has indicated, there was no acceptance of Tipraland but with an aim to defeat the CPI-M here BJP is ready to align with any party. "We are ready to fight the election with all parties", added Himanta.

Noteworthy, a meeting was conducted among IPFT and BJP led by IPFT Chief N C Debbarma, Mebar Debbarma and other topmost IPFT leaders. On BJP side, Jishnu Debbarma, Tripura BJP Observer Sunil Deodhar, Ram Madhav, Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma remained present. A highly placed source of BJP at Guwahati said that NC Debbarma was neither ready to step back from his Tipraland demand nor to join BJP. In this condition the BJP leaders left no other option to go for alliance with IPFT till election. Apart from that NCT, INPT both parties are going in alliance with BJP, said the source. However, State BJP President Biplab Deb was not present in that meeting.

Tripura Assembly Election is knocking on the door and only 2 months have been left that people will be casting votes. In this situation BJP is trying to woo the tribal vote banks to take a lead on the votes across hills.

However, by getting  NCT and INPT in alliance, BJP is now going in alliance with IPFT.  Only time will say whether BJP’s political aligning with anti-Bengali IPFT to increase BJP's vote banks or down.
