Tripura Govt demands Rs 221 crores from Centre as flood-compensation

AGARTALA, Dec 24 (TIWN): Amidst Central-deprivation allegations, Rs. 221 crores have been demanded by Tripura CPI-M Govt from BJP led Central Govt in flood compensation purpose.
Even though massive allegations against the state govt raised for not giving compensations to the flood victims who have been undergoing massive losses following last 3 floods, but once again it has raised demands for flood compensations.
Earlier also Rs. 80 crores were demanded from Agricultural purpose, but the funds never reach out to the farmers properly.
However, ahead of election, why a huge demand was raised, even though state govt claims for spending highest budget for agriculture, it has triggered question.
