SANTIRBAZAR, August 21 (TIWN): Surrendered militants who were rehabilated in Lachi Camp under Birchandra Manu of Santirbazar Sub Division are now passing their life in deplorable condition. Miserable life after surrender isn’t what they thought of...so majority of them are planning to join militancy in order to support their livelihood. State Administration stopped looking after their welfare, also most importantly State intelligence machinery not keeping tab on their plans either.
The real fact is that they are not getting help from Government to have a comfortable life in mainstream. At present - 26 Surrendered militants are there in the Lachi Camp. Among them 25 are NLFT Biswamohan Group and other was A.T.T.F .They surrendered on March 2012 from Dasda Kanchannagar. According to Government all of them were are staying in government accommodation, and are drawing monthly remuneration under rehabilitation scheme. An NGO team is doing training in Vocational Training Center at Lachi Camp. The training Course is on Computer ,Auto ,Sewing etc. But due to scarcity of Training materials, the training course will not be given properly to those Surrendered militant. The toilet , Kitchen rooms are not in a good condition either. Moreover they themselves buy rice in APL rate from outside.
