TIWN Dec 18, 2017
AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): Not even four days have passed that the 10323 teachers had celebrated at Melarmath with SC's verdict of 6 months contractual jobs under State Govt but the teachers today again held a press meet on Monday demanding all-party-meeting and special Assembly for the sake of teachers futures. This press conference was called by hardcore CPI-M supporters among 10323 who said continuously, "Our trust upon Tripura CPI-M govt is unbreakable" and celebrated at Melarmath like 3rd child of goat to mark CPI-M's victory over SC, but suddenly what happened that 10323 teachers have become tensed again ? Why all all-party-meeting ?
Earlier, some teachers had blocked NH, Railway demanding the same but this is the same group who betrayed their colleagues and cursed them as BJP's agent just to save the CPI-M Govt's corrupt face ahead of Election. However, it can be another plan of CPI-M ahead of poll as without CPI-M's permission this particular group would not held a valuable press meet.
Hence only 13 days left that as per the Supreme Court's order that the 10323 teachers are going to lose their jobs and the termination date is 31st December, 2017. On the other side, state govt is busy now in paper making for 10323's fresh recruitment on ad hoc basis which will be continued for 6 months from January 1st to June 30.
Tripura Govt will give a fresh circulation, appointing 10323 teachers on temporary basis and on purely contractual basis as the SC has rejected Graduate Teachers plea of job-extension. However, CPI-M has been heavily benefited with that much SC's allowance as already Election will be done within June month. After that everybody knows like computer teachers and terminated RMSA staffs the teachers will not be taken for granted. 'Pashe Achi' slogan will also be forgotten as the election will go but the teachers thinking it as Job-Extension had celebrated today at Melarmath.
The prayer was done for 1 year more extension whereas SC has permitted for 6 months only. The State Govt told Supreme Court that December is the middle of the session and thus termination will cause massive crisis to the Education system. SC in its verdict wrote, "On 31st December, 2017, the tenure of the incumbents will come to an end. Thereafter their appointments will only for 6 months on ad-hoc basis on such fresh terms that the state govt may impose. Thereafter one of the said incumbent will continue".
The order further said, "No further orders in these applications..."
