Agartala, Aug 20 (TIWN): Synchronizing with the announcement of the total financial inclusion plan by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day, NABARD, Tripura RO, Agartala launched a new campaign of spreading financial literacy in the state by producing and airing jingles on banking products targeted towards the poor people.
These jingles contain useful information about the banking products like basic bank account, KCC RuPay Card, remittance, crop/general insurance, JLG etc. for the financially excluded sections of the state. These are being broadcast by the Agartala station of All India Radio during the 'Abhijnapan' programme which is aired at 07:00 to 7:25 hrs every day. It is hoped that this literacy campaign will inspire and mobilize the financially excluded people of the state to use the banking products on offer from TGB, TSCB and Commercial Banks and improve their lot.
A CD containing ten jingles was formally launched by Shri Ashutosh Jindal, IAS, Finance Secretary to the Government of Tripura on the occasion in the presence of GM of NABARD, AGM of RBI, DIF, and state heads of major banks- UBI, SBI, TGB and TSCB.
