Kamalpur, August 20 (TIWN): A convention was held against torture upon women, bride murder, domestic violence, gambling and drug addiction at Kamalpur on Tuesday. The convention is jointly organized by DYFI, TYF and All India Women Federation Society KamalpurDivision Committee.

According to the local sources, a convention was held at Kamlapur today on the issue of torture on women and anti-social issues. DYFI, TYF and All India Women Federation Society KamalpurDivision Committee had jointly organized this. At this convention DYFI State Secretary Amal Chakraborty, TYFI State Secretary Ranjan Debbarma and All India Women Federation Society ‘s State Secretary Gayatri Dutta and other State Secretaries were present at the Convention.

On delivering her speech All India Women Federation Society State Secretary Gayatri Dutta said that Education and Awareness are the two tools on the basis of which these in humanism can be prevented. All India Women Federation Society’s Kamalpur Division Committees Secretary also made oath speech to the women present there against torture on women. DYFI State Secretary Amal Chakraborty and TYFI State Secretary Ranjan Debbarma also delivered their valuable speech.
