AGARTALA, Dec 10 (TIWN): Due to the double-lane project ongoing in Tripura, the National Highway is taking a dangerous shape especially the Agartala-Sabroom way. Since Sunday morning, a massive traffic jam followed by thousands of vehicles rows had hit the Suryamani Nagar to Amtali road. The road is further taking dangerous shape with various collapsed parts of it. The double lane project has also been affected in the long run as rain is damaging project's flow. Talking to the project officials they mentioned that the unseasonal rain had emerged unexpectedly, is the reason for the pathetic shape of the road. DM Milind Ramteke had also visited through the way in morning, taking notes about the serious condition. The rain will be continued till tomorrow as per the weather forecast.
Tensions are rising high with more constant more 24 hours of rain's heavy chances as Tripura has no other alternative way to pass the road.
In some parts vehicles are running under heavy risks leading mass sufferings with hours passing.
Apart from double lane project the common problems with state PWD controlled National Highway is alive to hit the common people.
In the capital city, with broken roads now the water-logging are suffering the common men a lot. Nothing can be done except waiting till tomorrow when the rain is likely to end.
