AGARTALA, Dec 6 (TIWN): "People do not know how much tough the Home Guard service is", said Tripura Director General of Police A K Sukla at AD Nagar ground on Wednesday during the celebration of Tripura Civil Defence & Home Guards Raising Day.

 "It's a voluntary service , you always have to keep yourself ready to serve ", said DGP.

"Home Guards are parts and parcel of the system, helps police every times", said Sukla.

"Home Guards serve as an auxiliary to the police and assist in maintaining internal security", he added.
