'Tripura has mixed culture : BJP is ready to align with all Anti CPI-M parties, except Separate-Land aspirants' : BJP

AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): Tripura BJP once again made it clear that the party is ready to align with all ant-Left parties, but except Tipraland demand holders. "If they are ready to compromise with their demands and totally forget about separate land then only they can align with us", BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar said. "First any party has to prove they actually want to unseat CPI-M. Then they have to promise that there will no talk about any division", added Deodhar. BJP Vice President Rampada Jamatia also told media the same.The press conference was called after BJP tribal leaders had met with 3 Union Ministers : 1) Dr. Jitendra Singh ( Minister of State for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region), 2) Jual Oram 3) Kiren Rijuju (Union Minister of State for Home Affairs of India).

Meeting the Ministers BJP state leaders led by 2 Vice Presidents Rampada Jamatia and Ashok Debbarma talked about State Council's demands. The BJP delegates also raised issues on the chronological murders, rapes of the indigenous people during the meeting at New Delhi. 

"Tripura has a mixed culture. Along with tribals there are Bengalis, Manipuris and many more communities. So, District Council is wrong for Tripura. Even though State Council is not in constitution but if Tripura Govt wants it can appeal for it", said Deodhar.

Some of the salient features of the said submitted draft of the proposed Autonomous State Council are : a) Land Alienation, transfer of lands, land revenue, and land settlement, b)Direct Funding to the said Autonomous State, C) Education Upto University level, D) Judiciary including Indigenous Customary Laws of Tripura, E) Forests comprising the all areas of present TTA-ADC, D) Home etc.

Apart from the basic there will be 15 more changes for the sake of Tribals' development and saving the indigenous people's culture and tradition. These are :

1) The Kok-Borok language is one of the official language of Tripura, but due to the negligence, its development has been slowed down. Thus, Kok-Borok will be brought under 8th schedule of the Constitution of India. Also there will be Kokborok and other tribal languages research centre in the Autonomous State Council.

2) The land rights to be implemented properly, including the Schedule Tribes and other traditional forest dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006.

3) Massive recruitment of ST though special recruitment drive as there are huge back-log ST reserved posts,

4)Traditional Medicines and alternative treatment system research institute of the indigenous people will be established,

5) Promotion & Development of traditional indigenous games and sports for orienting to national unity and integration,

6) Community Radio Centre and Doordarshan Kendra will be set up  within the Autonomous State Council for the development of indigenous tribal folk dance, folk music, culture and languages.

7) To establish the centrally funded sports and games academy for hunting talents for the tribal youth from Tripura,

8) Traditional handloom and handicrafts of the indigenous people of Tripura orienting for its development,

9) The emphasis should be given to the tourism development in all parts of Tripura involving the natural beauties and the historical monuments and places of the Maharaja's time.

10) The title of highest civilian award "Bharat Ratna" most likely awarded to our Lt Maharajah Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya honouring his great contribution for the wellbeing of the people of Tripura.

11) The Agartala Airport should be renamed as Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Airport as it was built by the sole initiative of the then Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bhahadur Dev Barma.

12) Restoration of original historical names of historical places and monuments , rivers, hills, towns, regions, villages which has been altered by state Govt,

13) Development should be given priority on agriculture, horticulture, milk production etc so that poor indigenous people can stand on their own foot economically  and take part in nation building, 

14) 10 number of mini smart cities will be established under the Autonomous State Council, under PM Modi's Sab-Ka-Sath, Sab-Ka-Bikash mission,

15) To uplift the living standard with all facilities should be given under 21st century from good roads, good schools, electricity, drinking water, communication mediums to come over the gap of undeveloped years.
