Manik Sarkar’s ‘Golden Era’ : Serious blow to much hyped ‘Food Safety’, 2 dies in Tripura after eating fish, 4 hospitalized in serious condition at GB

AGARTALA, Nov 29 (TIWN): CPI-M Govt’s negligence with food safety have turned heavy upon the common people which claimed 2 lives already and 4 left miserably suffering at GB hospital. A local fish, locally known as ‘fotka’ fish was bought by Manik Lal Biswas for his family today morning. But after morning food immediately Manik Lal Biswas had died and his mother named Subhona Rani Biswas also died while taking to GB hospital. Manik Lal’s wife Soma Shil Biswas left suffering in critical stage at GB hospital, whereas his sister Anjali Shil Biswas and two children of the house Mousumi Shil Biswas and Dipak Shil Biswas are also in serious condition admitted in GB hospital. Thus the dead persons are : 1) Manik Lal Biswas (40), 2) Subhona Rani Biswas (60). The other hospitalized victims are : Soma Shil Biswas (32), Anjali Shil Biswas (25), Mousumi Shil Biswas (7), Dipak Shil Biswas (14).

The fish was bought from Mohonpur  local market in the morning. Manik Lal's wife was happy to see the 'fotka' fish, which is also favourite of the children. 

But immediately after eating the fish Manik Lal first started to feel uneasy and slowly it poisoned other people of the house. Manik Lal's daughter who is only 7 years old Mousumi Shil and his newphew Dipak Shil, 14 years old are also in serious stage.

Doctors of GB hospital declared their conditions are serious.

This incident has triggered tension, resentment among the locals at there. Whether anyother family had bought the same fish it's not also known. 

Earlier, various times regarding formalin mixed fish and other dangerous issues were alleged time to time, but the State Minister including CM Manik Sarkar kept on neglecting the issue in the Assembly. 

Food, Civil supplies and Consumers Affairs Minister Bhanu Lal Saha yet to give any statement in this regard, neither he went to meet the victims.
