AGARTALA, Nov 25 (TIWN): National BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra on Saturday has congratualted Tripura journalists for exposing the truth behind journalist Sudip Datta Bhaumik's murder at TSR 2nd Bn office.

"If journalists of Tripura would not come forward to investigate their colleague's murder, the issue had never been come out. Under the state police the issue would be dumped", said Patra.

"It is no way possible that state govt had no role behind and such brutal murders could take place automatically in Govt office", said Patra.

"My question is, why is police trying to dump the case ? Why  state govt is denying CBI ?", said Patra.

Slain journalist Sudip Datta Bhaumik who was working in Syandan Patrika was killed by TSR Jawans allegedly led by TSR 2nd Bn Commandant Tapan Debbarma, who was exposed into coruption by Sudip Datta Bhaumik.

Commandant Tapan Debbarma called the journalist and allegedly killed him in 2 shots.

Sambit Patra is a spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party has arrived in Tripura on Saturday and addressed a rally at Sonamura.
