AGARTALA, Nov 25 (TIWN): State journalists walked a silent rally at Agartala, protesting against murders of 2 journalists in Tripura in last 2 months.

A silent march was walked across the city demanding justice for 2 slain journalists : Sudip Datta Bhaumik, who was killed by TSR Jawans and Santanu Bhaumik, who was killed in a political clash among CPI-M & IPFT.

Santanu Bhaumik was killed in Sep 20 at Mandai and presently SIT is investigating the case. But when state journalists were resented upon the slow-investigation of Tripura Police in Santanu murder case, on the 62nd day another senior journalist Sudip Datta Bhaumik was killed at TSR 2nd Bn HQ in R K Nagar. However, four persons till now have been arested so far in that case.

Tripura's journalist-killing series have raised various protests across the state and also outside the state. Today, a silent march was conducted by state's journalists at the Capital City.
